Meet Your Team

We have 3 partners who’ve worked together for decades. Mike and I went to High School together and have run several large sucessful businesses. Jeff has been our friend and partner for over 20 years. We have complimentary skill sets and we use them to both get you the highest prices and make the transaction seemless.

We’ve worked with former athletes, teachers, private equity CEO’s, lawyers, doctors, truck drivers, sports agents, former MLB coaches, you name it. Our job is to get you the most for your collection. If we don’t, you’ll find someone who will. We work on smaller margins than many other dealers. We want volume, Our goal is to close 100% of the legitimate deals we’re offered.

You won’t see some of our biggest purchases on our recent deals page as we value your privacy. If you want to remain anonymous, we’ll respect your privacy.

Mike “The Road Warrior”

Mike has been buying and selling cards and comics since he was a kid. He’s got a photographic memory and probably remembers, in detail, 95+% of the thousands of transactions he’s completed. He has extensive knowledge of cards, autographs, memorabilia, and comics. He’s also a seasoned grader who’s submitted tens of thousands of cards to PSA, SGC and Beckett. He has a large retail store in Central Jersey and has JSA visit every month or two to authenticate the thousands of autographed items he buys. Mike is on the road/in the air, buying collections several times a week. He travels all over the country for large collections (our specialty).

Jeff “The Encyclopedia”

Jeff used to run Rotman’s collectibles. If you bought cards in the 80’s, there’s a good chance you got some of them from Rotmans. Jeff has been a card dealer since he was a teenager. With over 35 years in the hobby, Jeff has bought, sold, and seen almost every card ever made. An interesting tidbit about Jeff. A very wealthly collector once hired Jeff for a project. That project was to buy one of every card ever producted. For fun, we sometimes try to stump him with a limited run, pre-war regional set. So far, we’ve come up empty. He knows them all. While at Rotman’s, he wrote an extensive grading guide to help his employees accurately grade cards. He’s one of the most accurate and experienced graders in the hobby. Jeff’s been on Ebay since 1998 with over 11,000 feedbacks and a 100% positive rating.

Doug “The Accountant”

Doug is a fair grader, not in the same league and Jeff and Mike. His main task is to review the numbers before an offer is made and ensure we don’t lose money on deals. He also handles the logistics for the large transactions. This includes bank wires, arranging the shipping from the collector to our warehouse and other tedious tasks that Jeff and Mike don’t want to waste their talents on. Doug’s main business is managing a large equity portfolio for his family. That’s why we have access to almost unlimited funds to purchase any size collection. Doug’s been on Ebay since 1998 with over 3,000 feedbacks and a 100% positive rating.

About Baseball Card Market

My partners (Jeff Weisenberg and Mike Parness) and I have been buying card collections for a combined 100+ years. Over those years, we’ve bought some very large and complex collections worth many millions. We can help you maximize the value of your collection. In some cases, that means getting your high dollar value cards graded before you sell them.

We are different from many other dealers because of our capital base. We don’t need to sell a collection at a discount in order to get the money to buy another collection. We sell cards for retail. We never flip a collection to another dealer. Almost 100% of our buyers are collectors. That allows us to pay more for collections. It is very rare that another dealer will outbid us, but we encourage you to get multiple offers. Competition keeps us sharp.

If you have a large, valuable collection, we can come to you. We can wire money to your account or bring you a certified check. If you have cases of cards, we’ll bring a truck and do all the loading.

We’ve bought collections from many large collectors, dealers and even closeouts from major card companies. To my knowledge, all have become satisfied customers. Referrals are a good part of our business and we work hard to keep them coming.

We have locations in NY/NJ, MA, FL and seasonal in CA. My partner, Mike, travels all over the US for large deals.

Please note, at this time, we are only buying large collections. We do not buy 1980 - 2020 Baseball, Football or Hockey cards that are not graded.

I look forward to working with you.
